Steven J. Colon is a highly experienced attorney with a diverse legal background spanning civil litigation, real estate transactions, and tax preparation and representation. He earned his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 2005 and holds a Bachelorā€™s degree from CUNY John Jay College, class of 2001.
Mr. Colon began his legal career as a solo practitioner, where he not only built a strong foundation in legal advocacy but also dedicated his time to volunteering with nonprofit organizations that support low-income families. Through this work, he gained invaluable hands-on experience while making a meaningful impact in underserved communities.
He is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, as well as before the U.S. Tax Court. In addition to his legal work, Mr. Colon is a founding member of The Real Project Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on education, empowerment, and generational wealth.
Before transitioning fully into the legal field, Mr. Colon served with distinction in the New York City Police Department for 20 years, retiring with the rank of Sergeant Special Assignment.
His career reflects a deep commitment to justice, public service, and community development.
